If caries has already occurred, treatment options are local anesthesia (“sleeping pearls” for the tooth), sedation using the relaxing effects of laughing gas (inhaled by the child through a scent nose) or full anesthesia (together with an anesthesiologist) in our practice facilities. Of course, we only use tooth-colored, biocompatible materials to close so-called “holes”. Has the tooth decay already advanced further, the milk tooth can oftentimes be preserved by making a so-called “knight tooth” (milk tooth crown). If milk teeth have to be removed, a prosthesis can be manufactured even for small children (of course, in a colorful style with fun motives that is appropriate for children). Our primary goal is to keep the teeth of your child healthy, which is why prophylaxis is of utter importance in our practice. A special prophylaxis program is meant to introduce your child to conscious oral hygiene (daily tooth care, optimal fluoride intake, and a healthy diet). Health insurances support us in this by taking over the cost starting at the age of 6. Beyond this, we offer all children a tailor-made, expansive and professional prophylactic program.
We are looking forward to your visit!
